Jeremy: "and the thing to say would be,Will you marry me, today, tomorrow and forever?"
*meets with a nod, face still buried in her hands.*
:)
After the initial getting use to, having a little bling on the left hand, was really not to bad. First of all, it was exactly the way i wanted. Furthermore, the sweet BF went ahead to bling it up further by adding pink diamonds, alternating on both sides of the ring.
Yes, i must admit. I am really blessed and blissed.
To top it off, friends have been most supportive, giving and loving.
They offered to read, sing, cantor at the wedding mass.
They offered contacts, numbers, figures to work with for the wedding
They offered experiences, made promises, and smiled with me through these early stages.
They offered their ears, hearts and eyes, to hear my whims, worries, feel my excitement and anxiety, and see me happy, sad, tensed, etc.
I couldn't be luckier.
As reality draws near, that we have about a year to plan for the wedding AND the house, we are starting to go into the full execution of recce, inspections, trial and errors etc.
1) We first confirmed a date with Father Henry. 10 Dec 2011.
2) We emailed several hotels, including Shangri-La and Goodwood Park (my childhood dream)
3) We sat down to think through our guest list.
Luck would have it that Goodwood Park was available, max 40 tables! -->22 Nov 2010
UNFORTUNATELY,
we realised that we would need 50-60 tables! :(
so the hunt continues on a Tues morning 23 Nov 2010,
and we are now seeing 2 options, 3 hotels
Option 1: Change date to 17 Dec 2011
and we would have the option of Marriot/ Hyatt
Option 2: 10 Dec 2011 remains
and we would have Meritus Mandarin@Orchard
.... what would it be?
theres a deep seated fear that im too efficient for my own good and may transform into the all too comonly seen Bridezilla! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooo... :(
need to reign in, take many deep breaths, pause before i comment, speak, make the calls...
On a brighter note,
I love my theme for the wedding: Urban Chic. Urban the setting, Chic the attitude and aura
I know exactly how my wedding invites, wedding booklet, reception decor would look like.
I have my gurlies who will start gown hunting with me!
Before you think Jem has been completely out of the picture,
he has been extremely sweet, including checking out the cost of a String Quartet, knowing that i love the sound of strings. He has been my grounding factor, the assuring squeeze of my hand, the accomodating nod to ideas and random brainstorms. The listening ear... you get the gist.
"Lucky im in love with my best friend" just about aptly sums it up. :)
