Felt the need to hear what's on your minds
Some buzzing with joy, others flooded with disappointed, the rest at crossroads
The first results you draw, your first step towards your future beyond secondary school.. N perhaps not everyone stepped on a strong concrete tile.
Some struggled on muddy grounds n you wonder what the next few steps may feel like...
You pave your life's journey, you illustrate n author your life story, if you want strong grounds to step on each time, you need to put in more work in preparing the cement n making sure they are thick enough to be a strong foundation.
You learn from each step you take.. N learn from mistakes you will make.
We all fall sometimes, but success is in those who stands up each time they fall... N I hope you alwaz find that bite n determination in you to believe n carry on the fight.
Hurdles r not lessons you learn during your preparations for O Levels. They are lessons you learn for life.
I'm glad I took some time to listen to what went on in your minds today. Afterall, that's why I joined the service, to inspire you towards greater heights in life :)

How ironic that my students found the ndp video of 2005 n in a frame which lasted a split second, found my face smiling back at them...
The title of that year's ndp song was 'Reaching for the Skies'
Then I felt I was, reaching the peak in my life, the almost graduate, the dance captain, a stable relationship n a promising future of possibilities...
But 5 years has since passed, n while I m financially stable, in a blessed relationship w Jem n my family members, I do wonder from time to time, m I passed my peak? Or m I reaching new ones?
Came to a conclusion a year ago when I stopped dancing altogether.. That while dance wi always stir up emotions n passions within me, I have to scale new heights in my career.. It means becoming a good teacher n mentor to the students, n finding the same sense of purpose n drive I haf in dance, in my teaching career now... N I do thank god, that in this school n with these kids I have, it's so easy to find the gratification n fulfilment in my daily humdrums...
A good reflection to start my long weekend positively.. :)
