Comfy back somewhere where i can belong
having something to look ahead towards for the coming year
there's a heightened sense of hope and enthusiasm
which i pray will not erode with the burdens of time
there are new resolutions to fulfill
new roles to play
new places to go to
old friendships to seal
old skills to improve on
old dreams to recover
may dreams of yester years don't walk me by
that energies, lost, be renewed
with christmas comes the rebuilding of ties and bonds
strengthen the mind and open the heart
to carry out its many wills
spare little time for regret
don't wait too long for time to pass along
pick yourself up before someone else lends a hand
that way you're sure you have the strength to take on what life brings you
just a night of random musings. may be my prayer, my wish, my inner mind for the year coming
